Founded in New Zealand by Jon Foote, Axon connects performance, medical, and game data from multiple providers into a single customisable platform enabling analysts and coaches to generate post-match reports within hours, track athlete readiness, and analyse opposition patterns faster than any in-house solution. Trusted by the All Blacks, Springboks, British & Irish Lions, Sydney Roosters, and Leinster, Axon is built by practitioners for practitioners.
Why We Exist
Performance teams aren't short of data.

Across elite sport, analysts are spending hours every week collecting, cleaning, and formatting data before they can even begin the analysis. Departments operate in silos. Medical, performance, and coaching staff are working from different numbers and different definitions. Decisions that should take minutes take days.
Current platforms provide generic one-size-fits-all solutions that take any competitive advantage away, they don’t allow customisation while protecting team intellectual property.
Axon was built to fix that, not with another generic athlete management system, but with a platform designed from the ground up to enable elite performance teams control over their data without the heavy lifting or high price of typical data warehouse solutions.
Our Story
Axon Perform began as a conviction: that the quality of performance analytics available to elite teams should not be determined by budget, internal capability, or how many data engineers you can afford to hire.
Jon Foote spent more than two decades building data and analytics platforms before turning his focus to sport. After seeing first-hand how fragmented and manual performance data workflows were, even at the highest levels of the game, he sold his previous business and committed entirely to solving it.
Andy Watts brings over 18 years as a practitioner inside elite performance environments. He's sat in the analyst seat, dealt with the post-match turnaround pressure, and knows exactly what performance staff need, and what gets in the way.
Together, that's what Axon is: built by people who have done the job, not adapted from enterprise software that hasn't.
